how easy is it to get a new passport sent to bangkok and transfer me visa over? My passport is getting pretty full and wondered if it was a hassle to send off for a new one and get the visa transferred over or if it is easier to get a new one in the UK and transfer the visa over when i get back to thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Getting a new passport sent to Bangkok is relatively straightforward. You can use services like VFS or Mike’s Sending Machine for the application process. Once you receive your new passport, transferring your visa is typically easy; you just need to provide copies of every used page of your old passport alongside the data page of the new passport. If you choose to get a new passport in the UK instead, you must enter Thailand with both passports and then visit immigration to have your visa or extension transferred.

Depends where you are in Thailand. To get a new passport you can use the company VFS to apply. Or use a service like Mike’s Sending Machine.

Once you have your new passport it’s relatively easy to get stamps transferred. It doesn’t cost but you may have to make copies of every used page of your old passport and the data page of your new passport.

If you get a new passport in the UK then you’d need to enter using both passports and then go to immigration to get your visa/extension stamp transferred

I'm in the UK for a few weeks and wondering if it worth getting a new one whilst here but I don't really want to be here for too long so was wondering how difficult it is to get one in Thailand. Im based in Pattaya so easy enough to get to bkk.

its just the timing i was worried about. I don't want to be here too long. The price if about the same to get a fast track as using an agency once in Thailand.

For getting one here (UK) would i just apply as normal and send my old one off? They normally snip the corner on the old passport, would this affect anything? or just take both with me and had both in at immigration on arrival? Sorry for the question overload.

Take both passports with you. On entry they’ll stamp you in for whatever visa you had in your old passport. At your leisure visit immigration to get any stamps transferred
