TLDR : Answer Summary
The duration of the entry stamp on a Non-OA visa can be affected by the validity of your insurance policy, which typically must cover at least one year. If your entry stamp indicates a validity of only 11 months, it may be due to your insurance policy expiry date. It is advised to check your visa document for the 'valid until' date and consider renewing your insurance and exiting/re-entering Thailand to obtain a new entry stamp that could potentially extend your stay.

CHRIST this turned into a train wreck 🙁

t LOOK at the VISA (which was probably a PDF file emailed to you. It has a "valid until" or "enter before" date on it.

Get a NEW year insurance policy, bounce out/back BEFORE the date your visa runs out and you'll get a new year entry stamp (or as long as your insurance is good for up to a year)

Once you get the "free second year" entry stamp THEN if you want to leave the country and come back during that time you'd need a re-entry permit.

when does the VISA (either a PDF file or a sticker visa) expire, not your current entry stamp (which I can see is good until 20 June 2025

right but they have an entry stamp AND insurance that only lets them stay until 20th June 🙂

So they're going to have to at least LEAVE thailand on or before that date,

Once they have a new year insurance policy you are correct they have until the 2 July to get back in and to get stamped in for a new year

okay here's how that is

you can exit/re-enter the country all you want right now and you will be stamped in until 20th of June 2025 <because it says that's when your insurance expires (ประกันหมด 20 มิ.ย. 2568 = June 20, 2025)

SO get a new yearly insurance policy when this one is running out, and bounce out back BEFORE your current entry stamp expires (the 20th June one)

You'll get stamped in for a whole new year (or as long as your insurance is valid for up to a year)

Thanks Tod, clear now. Is there a limit on buying re entry permits on the extension year?

@Kerry ******
nope once you get that 2nd "free year" and your actual visa PDF expires just buy either a single or multiple re-entry permit

Single is 1000baht lets you out and back once.

Multiple is 3800baht lets you out and back all you want for as long as your entry stamp is valid for.

Do you have Non-OA? If so, check your insurance policy expiry date. The date on the entry stamp based on a valid Non-OA visa is earlier date of 365th day or insurance validity.
