Hi, I'm currently holding a Non-O-A Visa from Canada. I will need to leave Thailand by Aug 2, 2024. That is the expiry date of my insurance. However, the visa is still valid until Aug 21, 2024. So I can leave on Aug 2 and re-enter before Aug 21 to get another year. Is this correct? Also, I would need to show them a new insurance policy for the new year. Correct? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can leave Thailand by August 2, 2024, and re-enter before August 21, 2024, on your valid Non-O-A visa to get another year stamp. It's essential to have a new insurance policy effective from the entry date to meet the visa requirements.

Correct.

You can enter on your valid Non-OA visa on or before the "must be used by" date to get another 1-year (maximum) entry stamp. To enter on a valid Non-OA, you need to have insurance coverage of more than one day as of the entry date. You will be stamped either an earlier date of: 365 days or insurance policy validity, the same way you entered for the first time.

you'll also need a re-entry permit to keep your new stamp alive should you wish to travel outside Thailand.
