Hello ! French passport holder here, I arrived in Thailand on Feb 1st with a 60 days tourist visa and extended it once for 30 more days. I am leaving the country by flight to Penang on April 30th, and I was wondering how long I have to stay in Malaysia until I can come back with a 30 days visa exemption on arrival. Would 3 days be enough ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A French passport holder with a current tourist visa in Thailand is asking how long they need to stay in Malaysia before returning to Thailand to qualify for a 30-day visa exemption. Responses indicate that while technically there is no strict time limit, a stay of three days is generally acceptable. However, regular short trips may raise questions with immigration authorities, so it is advisable to avoid making this a regular occurrence.

Why not enjoy Malaysia?

Yes, 3 days is fine but don't continually do it. You can probably get away with doing this one time before questions are asked.

No time limit. If you can find a flight back same day then you can do that.

Not a good idea to do that. Better to spend a few days away.

Perfectly fine to do that.

Not such a good idea. Maybe you can get away with it once.
