Hi all,

Entered Thailand on a visa exemption (30 days) and extended a further 30 days and will be leaving soon before my visa expires.

How long do I need to be out the country before I can return on a new visa exemption? (By air)

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler who entered Thailand on a visa exemption and extended their stay is inquiring about the required time out of the country before they can return on a new visa exemption. The responses indicate that there is no minimum time required to leave before returning by air, while land border entries have restrictions on frequency. Additionally, some Thai embassies have differing rules regarding the maximum stay allowed under visa exemptions, emphasizing the importance of understanding these guidelines.

And that is it. Yes, we know that a Thai Embassy makes money with the sales of a Visa and they not get any income by telling you that Visa Exempt Entry is possible.

I close the post before more people are going to share what the embassy posted in what ever country.

The Royal Thai Police Immigration Bureau sits at entry points at land borders and airports and they decide if you may or may not enter Thailand.

a good question. Some Thai embassies throughout the World post as a rule that by using visa-exemptions and their extensions, one cannot stay any longer than 90 days within a 6 month period. Other embassies do not post anything such

And reality is whatever the Thai Immigration officers are saying upon arrival into Thailand. Often use of entering Thailand may bring about question's.

There is no minimum time to return to return to Thailand.

If you fly out, you can take the first possible flight back into Thailand,

If you walk out by land, you can directly turn after being stamped in/out by neighbor country, but be aware you if you do this it is only twice a calendar year using land borders.
