When cancelling an ED extension, how long before the extension or school letter end date can you cancel?

I’ve got the school letter saying the official course end date is 5 days after the extension ends but was planning on leaving two weeks before the extension ends.

As a rule at most offices, you can cancel up to 2 weeks before the date on the paperwork; which should say your course stops the date your extension stops or on the date you're going to leave the country (before the actual extension runs out)

I have never heard of a school giving paperwork for termination of study that ran PAST the current extension a student was on 🙁

Thanks, might have to push my plans out then.

Yeah I was confused when I got the letter.

They specifically said the correct date when I asked them for the letter. They insisted they had to mail it to me and just saw the wonky date when it arrived.

I think it’s for some optional graduation ceremony but they shouldn’t have added that as part of the course time.

I’m guessing immigration can see that both the extension and course end date are in the same week and shouldn’t be an issue?
