Hey crew, my final Ed Visa extension expires on Nov 24th (I’ve been here studying one year now) and I’m flying out of the country on Nov 22nd. Do I need to go to immigration BEFORE leaving Chiang Rai (where my extensions are granted) to cancel the Ed visa or will it expire automatically on the 24th?

Answer summary

The user needs to go to immigration before leaving Chiang Rai to cancel their Ed Visa extension. This can be done by providing a letter from their school stating the last day of their course.

You have to cancel your Extension of Stay at Immigration before you leave. You do this with a letter from your school stating the last day of your course.
