Hello there; does anyone have a link for the form for cancelling an ED visa?

So let me see if I understand this. You posted asking about canceling an ED visa extension BUT you'd already exited without canceling it and gotten a tourist visa and came back and then extended that by 30 days already too right?

Why didn't you just say that in the first place instead of this song and dance :/ :(

Yep, that's what happens when you don't cancel the extension correctly. There is a HIGH chance you will be fined 500baht a day (up to a max of 20K baht) for failing to cancel the ED visa extension correctly BEFORE you left the country.

you need a new stamp in your passport, does not work by internet. The only link is visit the Immigration Office with a letter from your school.

Thank you, Robert and Tod! Actually, I didn't realize we needed to cancel the ED visa so we left the country right before it expired and returned on a tourist stamp. Then extended the tourist stamp--no one asked about the ED visa. A month later, the school told me I have to cancel the visa; so I plan to go to immigration within the next week. Here is what they said: "- Letting the visa expire by itself or leaving the country without re-entry permit would automatically revoke the visa but the visa will not be cancelled in the system, and this will complicate your trip back to Thailand in the future with a long term visa, as you will not be allowed to extend the visa in Thailand unless you visit our school, obtain a letter and cancel the visa at Chiangmai immigration office. And if the date on the letter and cancellation date is not matched, you may be fined by the immigration office up to 20,000 baht.

- In order to cancel your visa, the withdrawal date of the school must be the same day of the visa cancellation date. If you plan to leave the country after the withdrawal date, there will be a separated form to fill and some of you have already submitted it."

i think they were wanting the link to the FORM to cancel their extension :O which is why I said there is none.

You get a letter from your school stating you are stopping studying on xxx date, you go to the immigration office about a week or two before that date, they cancel your current ed extension and stamp you in until the date on the letter that says you stop studying. Then you can leave the country on that date
