TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers flying to Thailand are required to have a PCR COVID-19 test performed 72 hours before their departure. The test results must be issued within this 72-hour period, and it is advisable to check the processing times of testing facilities to ensure you receive your results on time. Additionally, a Fit to Fly certificate must be obtained from a doctor within three days of your flight. It is crucial to ensure that the test is an RT-PCR test to avoid being denied boarding.

Make sure you get a RT-PCR test. Would hate to see anyone turned away from stepping foot on board a flight.

The results must be issued within the 72 hour period prior to your flight. along with a Fit to Fly certificate. The actual test can be taken outside the 72 hour window, which in some countries is advisable because the results take time to process. If you can find a lab that can produce in 24-48 hours that is your best option. get the test the 4 days before the flight, you should have your results within the 72 hour period. go see a dr within the 3 days of your flight to get the F2F certificate.
Its really not that hard to understand. You just have to know how long results take in your country/city. Call the places that do the testing to see how long their results are taking, and figure out when to get tested from there..

Take the sample 72 hour before or test result 72 hour? Fly Wednesday, when do the test? It takes 48 hour to get the results. So Monday too late!

Those details are spelled out in getting your certificate of entry from the Thai embassy before you can fly.
