Does anyone have experience with a COE (Certificate of Entry)? I fly in 5 days to Bangkok and I am wondering how does the COE work.
Is it a document that the Royal Comsulate sends to my email?
Do I have to drive 9 hours to Chicago to pick it up in person?
Or is it in some kind of system that the Thai officials can access at the airport?
The Royal Thai Consulate have sent me an email saying that they have issued it to me but I’m kind of confused because no documentation of COE is in my email. Thanks for all your help in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
The Certificate of Entry (COE) for traveling to Thailand is an essential document that must be emailed to you by the Royal Thai Consulate. You will need to print it out before boarding your flight, as there are no Thai officials at the airport to handle this. If you haven't received the actual document, check your email (and spam folder) for a link that you may need to click to access and print it.
