Hello all

With the opening of Phuket on July 1

Do you still need to have all requirements that was originally required, like COE, COVID insurance, hotel reservations extra.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
As of June 2021, travelers to Phuket still need to fulfill all original requirements such as the Certificate of Entry (COE), COVID insurance, and hotel reservations. However, a Fit to Fly certificate is no longer necessary, and it's advised to check for updates after official announcements are made regarding travel regulations.

Dont expect the Phiket/Patong nightlife to be the same. Everything has been closed for one year and Patong is dead.

.So why even bother to go there in the first place .

To me ,on a pre Covid

visit it was the equivalent of going to

Lands end , offering nothing that I could not get at costal resorts far closer to Bangkok.

I was totally shocked by the prices of

tuktuks, Internet cafes, food, etc etc

which were at least 50% more than

Pattaya, Changmai, or Huahin.

That’s the reality and I doubt anything

has changed especially with the few bars restaurants that still remain open

as the owners will be trying to recoup

their losses from the last 15 months

of this devastating pandemic.

I’m not. I was there but had to go back to USA for some stuff. I’ll be coming back but will stay 8 months maybe year.

Yep, and just an FYI a Fit to Fly certificate is no longer needed at the moment. Vaccine card was an uploaded document for the COE in the US.
