How do I file my TM30 in Bangkok and do I need a queue ticket?

Edit: Don’t know if anyone will read this but I got my TM30 yesterday. After lengthy explaining that I left the country for two weeks and come back the officer finally gave me a queue number (he first was confused why I want to file again if I haven’t moved because I brought my old TM30 with me for explanation). Then off to the counter I went and after a stern look from that officer and saying that I need to do this in the first 24 hours, I payed my fine and got my TM30.

Thank you all who helped. Talk to y’all next time when it’s time again to extend my STV at CW 😂.

Hello lovely people.

I am so sorry because I am pretty sure this has been asked a billion times but I simply can’t find it in this group (am stupid y’all).

I need to file my TM30 (before your ask: no my landlord won’t do it cause he is a buddy of mine and he doesn’t have time).

Now I know what documents I need and all but I have two questions:

1. Do I still self file it at MTT in Bangkok?

2. Do I need to pre book a queue ticket for it or can I just waltz in there on Thursday afternoon? (Or better is the queue booking still offline?)

Thank you very much.

Have a lovely weekend everybody.@[287005340097182:11809:]

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully filed their TM30 after retrieving it following a previous overseas trip. They sought clarification on the filing process specifically about self-filing at the MTT in Bangkok and whether a pre-booked queue ticket was necessary. Commenters confirmed that self-filing is still necessary in Bangkok and that while a queue ticket is not needed, the TM30 must be submitted within one business day of arrival.

File online with the 'section 38' app. assuming that you're already registered at your friend's address. Very easy after you've set yourself up with a login and password.

tried that, but since I am two weeks late with filing it just always told me: only possible in the first 24 hours and then wouldn’t let me proceed. So I opted for the in person option.

no choice, I think, if late. Just turn up with documents and 2kbt for fine. The fine is in theory levied against your friend who's to busy to file for you. As the TM30 responsibility is the premise's owner / landlord, not you.

@John ****
you're confusing late 90 day reporting that has a fine of 2000baht with failure to file a TM30 on time which has a max fine of 1600 baht and most offices only charge people half that (800baht)

REPOST: Self File TM-30 BANGKOK ONLY.

This is the way you need to fill out the TM30 form if you are filing with NO documentation from your land lord

Your name goes at the top of the form, your address goes under it, then your address AGAIN as the address where the foreigner lives.

In the blank area at the bottom left hand side of the piece that they will tear off and give back to you write your address again.

On the second page (the table) put all your information.

You sign BOTH forms on the signature lines. Print the forms correctly. the first page is portrait orientation and second page is landscape orientation :O

Make copies of;

-lease

-data page of your passport

-visa (if you have one)

-extension (if you have one)

-entry stamp

-TM6 departure card

sign the copies of your passport stuff.

This is a way to file a TM30 in BANGKOK without any information from your land lord at all. <- (meaning you don't need their i/d, their house book listing, a power of attorney form with the 10 baht in tax stamps).

AFAIK: this ONLY works in Bangkok but I can say with 100% accuracy that it does work (y)

>Do I need to pre book a queue ticket for it or can I just waltz in there on Thursday afternoon?

It's walk in. Remember though, the TM30 does need to be submitted no later then one business day after you arrive at the property.

Thank you for the fast help. You guys are the best.

Yeah I remember that 24 hour rule and I am like 2 weeks over it but I am prepared to pay the 800 baht fine and get the stern look thanks you 😅.
