Can I self-file a TM30 in Bangkok if I'm staying at a hotel without a lease?

Regarding TM30, I have read through Tod Daniels' post on how to self-file in Bangkok and I have read through the more general TM30 post. Both posts mention the need for a lease document when filing the TM30.

I am just staying at a hotel in Bangkok. I don't have a lease with anyone. Will I be able to self-file the TM30 at CW without a lease?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around whether one can self-file a TM30 form at the immigration office in Bangkok without having a lease, specifically while staying at a hotel. Comments suggest that typically, residents must provide a lease to file the TM30, and staying at a hotel may require the hotel management to register the guest instead. One commenter shared a positive experience where a guesthouse registered a guest quickly, indicating some flexibility might exist, but the general rule suggests that hotel stays complicate self-filing.

Alright, well thanks for the feedback, folks.

I think I have a better understanding of this now.

If it is a hotel, he would know to do it.

I went to a small guesthouse way upcountry in the NE.

Owners daughter downloaded the app and registered , receipted me within minutes.

Otherwise, move

To my knowledge, you can not self file a TM30 if you are staying at a hotel.

Ok, but the list of people who can file a TM30 does include "hotel manager", so, do I need to talk to my hotel manager about the TM30?

I'd rather not talk to the manager about it because I don't want to make him anxious about accommodating me for any reason. I'm comfortable here. I don't want to rock the boat, so to speak.

You may have to show him the TM30 form, and what it looks like. Some hotels do not know it's called the "TM30", but call it "Section 38".

Show the hotel the attached file; if they have completed it, ask for a copy.

by law the hotel should have already done a tm30 for you. Just ask for a screen shot of the submission.
