In relation to the TM30, I was planning to self file in Bangkok next week after my quarantine ends.
I found a lengthy and informative post from Tod Daniels that helpfully explains the process, but as it is now a couple of years old, I just wanted to question if this method was still viable.
Many Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The method for self-filing the TM30 in Bangkok is still considered viable. Although originally based on older guidance from Tod Daniels, recent user comments confirm that following the specific instructions for completing the TM30 form correctly allows expats to self-file without needing documentation from their landlord. However, it is emphasized that this process is applicable specifically to Bangkok Immigration and may not be valid in other areas. Generally, property owners are expected to file the TM30, but there are exceptions for expats in Bangkok with certain conditions.
1. We keep everything in the group, we do not ask people to message others.
2. For the TM30, a person would know if they signed a lease or not.
3. Tod Daniels' post about self filing in Bangkok Immigration is valid for BANGKOK IMMIGRATION only. It may, or may not, work for your immigration office.
4. In most situations, the property owner, and not you, should file a TM30.

This is the way you need to fill out the TM30 form if you are filing with NO documentation from your land lord
Your name goes at the top of the form, your address goes under it, then your address AGAIN as the address where the foreigner lives.
In the blank area at the bottom left hand side of the piece that they will tear off and give back to you write your address again.
On the second page (the table) put all your information.
You sign BOTH forms on the signature lines. Print the forms correctly. the first page is portrait orientation and second page is landscape orientation ๏ฟผ:O
Make copies of;
-lease
-data page of your passport
-visa (if you have one)
-extension (if you have one)
-entry stamp
-TM6 departure card
sign the copies of your passport stuff.
This is a way to file a TM30 in BANGKOK without any information from your land lord at all. <- (meaning you don't need their i/d, their house book listing, a power of attorney form with the 10 baht in tax stamps).
AFAIK: this ONLY works in Bangkok but I can say with 100% accuracy that it does work ๏ฟผ(y)

I can confirm, went 2 days ago.
It's on the second floor, go to the desk in the parking garage area.
Present all your paperwork and they give you the form. It looks a bit different from the ones posted here (I think?) so I filled it in wrong.๐
Wait for your number to get called out and enter the room behind the desk where you got your number.
TM30 is desk B so don't stand around in the que for desk A (like I did) ๐
Arrived 8:10, was done by 8:45
800b fine for reporting late a month and a half. ๐
The lease is the contract you sign with the apartment owner. The apartment owner would keep one copy, and you would have another copy. The lease would give:
- The address
- The amount of money you're paying per month for rent
- Additional costs (community fees)
- What the apartment includes (bed, wi-fi, desk, etc)
