TM30 Self File Chaengwattana. Irish passport.

Big thank you to everyone here especially Tod who helped me a lot. I have just got my first TM30 at CW. Arrived at 8.22. I was 16 in the queue. Called at 8.40. Finished at 9.10.

I followed all the advice from Tod and had no problems at all. But there was no IO this morming. 5 ladies working but all looked like temp or part time staff.

I was not fined 800 baht. I also asked them if I need to report back for travel inside Thailand and they said NO...

Big thanks to all once again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat recently shared their successful experience self-filing their TM30 registration at Chaengwattana, Thailand, using advice from the community. They arrived early, waited briefly, and confirmed they were not fined. They learned that there is no need to report back for local travel in Thailand. Other users commented on alternative filing methods like mail or online submissions and shared insights about varying policies at different offices.

And all we know and lots of questions and anwers can be found in the populair topic section TM30 Address registration i advice to take a look in that folder and read first, before you ask questions.

They told you that you don't need to report after returning from a trip inside Thailand?

. CW told me a while back I only need do it if I have a new TM6 number, ie. I've been out of the country. However since Robert and Todd made it known you can do it by mail, I haven't taken the chance (remembering after all, this IS Thailand). The 80baht postage costs, the 4.5baht photocopies and the 20 minutes it takes out of my day sure beats the possibility of a 2000baht fine. I mean, that's quite a few beers!

Different office has different policies

And on line, or by using the app on your mobile phone.

And remember you can do this by mail to save the trip to CW. Took me less than ten minutes last week at the PO five minutes walk from where I'm living

Did you fill out the form as per Tod’s previous instructions, ie filling out your name and details only. Or did you include your landlords details.
