TLDR : Answer Summary
When you renew your retirement visa in Thailand, your 90-day reporting period continues based on your last report. If this is your first extension from a Non-O visa, the 90-day reporting date is counted from the extension date. Otherwise, it will be due 90 days after your most recent report. Immigration typically provides a small paper detailing your reporting dates.

You extended your permission to stay, nothing else. You're not on a visa while in-country.

Our immigration office always give us a piece of paper telling us when to do our 90 days report.

I'm not talking about the 90 days receipt you get when you're doing the reports. My earlier comment was about getting a paper for next 90 days report after an extension has been approved. That paper does not exist at Jomtien immigration.

On my last visa extension, The immigration officer provided me a small paper stating my 90day reporting will be extened for 30 day.

Than on my 90 reporting, the officer saw the paper and mentioned, oh new visa - and everything went smooth.

Is this your first 90 report, if so 90 days after your Non-O expired. If not 90 days after your last report or 90 days after your last entry.

He *renewed* his retirement visa, whatever that may be, so he likely isn’t on his first 90 day report…

what we don't know is if it's first renewal or his 5th.

If it’s his first RENEWAL then he will get his FIFTH 90 day report, not going to get his first….

So whether it’s his first renewal or his 5th doesn’t really make a difference. It will never be his first 90 day report.

Read carefully.

Yes. He could have black toothpaste, yellow chocolate, 472 mln tbh in the bank, and be married to Cinderella.

Don’t be ridiculous.

Your 90 day report is due 90 days from your last report, regardless that you’ve just extended for another year.

That is unless it’s your first extension off a Non O, where it will be due from your extension date - usually immigration put in a small piece of paper stating the date due.
