Hello! Wondering if there is any way to change the effective dates of a non-o retirement visa... mine currently will expire on 29 Dec - I plan to renew it towards the end of November, within the 45 day window, however, I see this being a problem every year as I typically travel back to the states for the winter holidays. If I renew it in November, will it then expire the following November, or will it still be December? Ideally, I would like to be able to renew it in October beginning in 2026. Thank you in advance for any advice!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about changing the expiration date of their non-O retirement visa to better align with their travel schedule during the winter holidays. Responses indicate that the only way to potentially change the effective date is to leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, which would cancel the extension, necessitating a new visa application process. Additionally, validity of the user's passport might also impact the extension duration.
