I just read about this new visa but can't find anything on how (or where) to actually get one. A local lawyer
mentioned this was a good option if I can travel to a consulate outside of SE Asia (Europe, USA, etc).
Has anyone had one of these new visas and where did you get it? Are these available in USA, France, Spain or UK?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the application process and availability of the new Double Entry Tourist Visa for Thailand in various locations, including the USA, France, Spain, and the UK. Several comments indicate uncertainty regarding the visa's current status, suggesting it is still under consideration and not yet available.
It was thought about last year in november, and was being considered. Given the current climate. I wouldnt hold your breath waiting for it to become reality.
Why when the current reality is a massive reduction in tourist numbers due to the Coronavirus. There R loads of cheap flights to be had now, discounts to be had at hotels & resorts, the Baht is weakening. If anybody does a land border visa run just now immigration will probably welcome them back in with open arms.
