Morning, quick question…I’m flying to Thailand next Tuesday with my Thai wife and our stay is for 29 days. So I know I don’t require a visa. But..we might decide to extend a bit longer when we’re there & change flight home. My question is, can I sort this out in Bangkok/Samut Prakan or do I need to get my visa from Thai Embassy UK in advance? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend your stay in Thailand for 30 days at a local immigration office for a fee of ฿1,900. If you need more time, you can also apply for an additional 60-day extension based on your marriage to a Thai citizen. It's not necessary to obtain any visa in advance from the Thai Embassy in the UK for your short stay and potential extensions.
