TLDR : Answer Summary
After a TM30 is filed by your landlord, whether you receive a document depends on how the TM30 was submitted. If filed in person, your landlord should receive a receipt. If submitted online, they can obtain a screen grab of the data entered. However, in Chiang Mai, regulations may vary, and the original document may be required for certain visa types.

But if you live in Chiang Mai and your TM30 is for the 60 day extension from a tourist (amnesty) visa they required us (several people) the original document. I hope you're not in Chiang Mai, the "best" immigration offices politics ever... 🤦

When you get the printout from your landlord just go to the small office out the back of the airport immigration in CM and they will give you the official receipt. Takes 2 minutes. I had to do it recently for my 90 day report. They will NOT do it at Promenada

I forgot that C/M was one of the few immigration offices that will do that. Most all the rest (or at least the ones I know of) will take the screengrab from either the mobile app or the online web-portal as proof

the only way you'd have an "original document" is if you filed a TM30 in person. The other two ways there is no receipt..

IF they filed in person they got a receipt, if they filed online or with the mobile application, they can go back into the system and get a "screen grab" of the data they entered for you.
