Hi all,

Just another question before I go to do the covid visa extension on Wednesday. My workplace has given me the visa cancellation form and told me I need to cancel the visa then on the same day change it to the 60day covid extension. I’ve had it explained to me how to do the 60 day extension now. I’m just wondering what documents I need to cancel my visa if anybody knows? My employer said he will go to cancel the work permit on Wednesday morning but that he doesn’t need my work permit and we don’t need any documents from him after he cancels it, is this correct?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the documents required to cancel their visa in Thailand in order to apply for a 60-day COVID extension. Their employer has mentioned that the work permit will be canceled, but they seem uncertain about needing any documents for the visa cancellation. A comment suggests obtaining a work permit cancellation receipt and consulting with the local immigration office for accurate information.

You may need a work permit cancellation receipt. But best is ask to your local immigration office.
