Hey everyone. I had a non-b attached to a work permit which I "cancelled" and went on an emergency visa extension (covid visa). Living in Nonthaburi now and my visa expires on the 1st of October. I want to apply for another emergency visa extension at Nonthaburi Immigration Office (not CW or MTT).

Since amnesty ends on the 27th of September, how far in advance can I apply for an extension and is there anything a noobie should know about Nonthaburi Immigration?

Thanks for any insight.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on applying for another emergency visa extension at the Nonthaburi Immigration Office after their previous visa expired on October 1st. They are particularly concerned about the application process, especially since the amnesty deadline was approaching. Commenters advised visiting the local immigration office sooner rather than later, ensuring a TM30 registration is filed, and confirmed that the COVID extension had been extended until November, allowing for timely application.

The Covid extension has been extended 2 months to November

Thanks, they told me to come back within 7 days of my visa expiring so Friday the 24th. Hence why I am asking if we can do it earlier. I think they have a queue of 50 people a day or so, seems low.

if they told you to return within 7 days, return in 7 days.

I'm trying to figure if I could go sooner as 7 days before my visa is the final day of amnesty and with many things that could go wrong, I am uncomfortable leaving it that late.

just GO and apply this week, you can't go friday (they're closed) so just go.

There's nothing that can go wrong with getting a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, as long as you bring in these documents:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters. [I KNOW Nakhom Pathom immigration requires this document, Nonthaburi may as well]

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

If the immigration office is busy, and they want to process the 60 day extension of stays 7 days before they are due, then it's what they want.

didn't you get the previous extension at MTT not at Nonthaburi where you live now?

I got the previous extension at Rayong Immigration. First time doing it here in Bangkok.

First... Visit the Thai immigration office where you live and have a TM30 address registration filed...

Ask them for their list of requirements for the COVID extension.

As you are now on a COVID extension...

Where did you get yours?

Why not just get it where you got your current COVID extension?

The requirements for it should be much the same as the one you recently obtained.

Monday September 27 Th is the last day to apply for the COVID extension... Unless extended. Which has not occurred.

BTW you can apply NOW

My TM30 was filed online by my landlord last month. I have it printed out. I got my COVID extension in Rayong province and have since moved to Nonthaburi.

I visited immigration on Friday, they tried to send me to CW. I showed them that I already went then they tried to tell me to get a TM30, I showed them I had, then they tried to say amnesty ends on the 27th and my visa on the 1st but I told them we're supposed to apply 2 weeks earlier then they said get the landlord's ID card and Household Registration Authority. I showed them I had it so they said come back on the 24th.

I just realized the 24th is a holiday...
