Hi, as my 1st Covid amnesty related to my NON-B is running out on 6th of October. Do I need to wait until they announce the new round of extension (in July they did this around the 16th if I remember correctly) and go in Or should I go in before the 27th as the moderator kindly pointed out (will then they issue a extension dating from the 6th) thank you for the kind help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on whether to wait for an official announcement on the next round of Covid amnesty extensions before applying for their visa extension, which is due to expire on October 6th. A comment suggests that they should apply for a new 60-day extension of stay based on COVID-19 travel restrictions before their current extension expires, as this would add on to their existing visa status.

My advice would be to apply for a new 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 on September 26th. Every 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 are added on to your existing extension of stay stamp.
