Hi,

Please redirect me on a previous post if question already have been asked :

I'm at the end of my non-o visa (work) and recently married to thai I want to do a FIRST non-o based on marriage (not an extension).

My immigration office (and the one of my husband) doesn't answers to my question and automatically send me the number of Bangkok immigration. Wich tells me that they cannot help me because I'mnot living in BKK, only the office of my residence can stamp me a new visa. So I call them back and they send me the number of a random tourist visa agency.

I'm worry because Bangkok also say "if your immigration refuse, you will have to apply for the visa from outside"... like everybody knows, "outside" is not providing any visa due to covid-19 ! So I will not be abble to re-enter.

Did someone recently experienced a new Non-O based on marriage recently ???

Thank you for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on applying for a new Non-O visa based on their recent marriage to a Thai citizen, as their current Non-O visa is expiring. They describe difficulties in obtaining clear answers from local immigration offices and express concerns about the implications of applying from outside Thailand due to COVID-19 restrictions. Responses highlight the necessity of applying for an extension before the visa's expiration and briefly mention the requirement to live together to qualify for the marriage extension.

To get an extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai, you need to be living together. If you aren't living together, then you don't qualify. I don't feel comfortable letting this post continue. Good luck!

With a Non Immigrant O visa you got a new stamp Admitted until ../../.. stamped in your passport, Before this date you apply for an Extension of Stay based on marriage, If you are late do not worry, thanks to this amnesty you can still apply before 25 Sep

You visit the same Immigration Office where you registered your address within 24 hours after arriving

this immigration told me to call Bangkok or to move in the house of my husband and put my name on his tambien baan... wich is a non-sens because my work and actual residence is in Singburi... why they refuse and just push me somewhere else or on a different process? Aren't they abble to make an Extension of stay by themselves ?? And how long will be the Extension ?

(I'm mot late, my visa is over at the end of the month and I'm worry about how long the process will be during this covid time so I want to start in advance)

follow the Thai Immigration office instructions.

If you and your Thai husband live in Singburi...register your TM 30 address there and file for the Non O based on Marriage to Thai.

by advance we called and asked (in thai/my husband) to his immigration office about making a new Non-O and they directly cut the conversation to ask us to call the visa info service number. So we do not even know if they can issue this visa. My husband tried to call back and they give him the tourist visa agency number... ๐Ÿค”

@Benjamin *****
no. His house in Samut Sakhon, my work is in Singburi.

Is it an obligation to move with him? Doesn't it unauthorised to have a residence (and so immigration office) different from the province of the work ?

your marriage must be both de facto and de jure, you two must live together.
