TLDR : Answer Summary
A Thai national is moving back to Thailand with her husband and inquired about the Non Immigrant O visa application process for a spouse. Comments provided two options: applying for a Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage with a Thai national (either with a year validity requiring border runs or a 90-day single entry followed by an extension). Details on financial requirements and procedures for visa application and extension were also shared.

Different options. 1. Apply for the Non Immigrant O based on marriage with Thai National with year validity and multiple entry. That means every 90 days he has to make a border run to get a new entry for 90 days or 2. Apply for the Non Immigrant O based on marriage with Thai National with 90 days validity and Single Entry. After 60 days in Thailand visit the local Immigration Office and apply for an Extension of Stay based on marriage. For this he need or 400.000 Thb on a Thai bank account or a certified statement from his embassy of minimum income of 40.000 Thb a month.

The multiple entry is valid for 1 year and you have to do a border crossing every 90 days for a new 90 day stay, you can use this visa for almost 15 months if you do the an entry on the last day of enter before date. Single entry visa only gives you one entry of 90 days. After last entry with multiple visa or after entry with single visa you can apply for Extension of Stay at local Immigration, if you have that you do not need to leave the country every 90 days but instead you report at local immigration office.
