Retirement visa renewal question.

Requirement is to maintain 800,000 THB balance in the bank. Is it okay if the money is deposited to your account from within Thailand. Or should it come from abroad?

Thanks for your answers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question concerns the requirements for maintaining the 800,000 THB balance in a bank account for the renewal of a retirement visa in Thailand. Responses indicate that funds can be deposited locally or come from abroad, with no strict rule on this for the renewal process. However, for the initial visa application, some immigration offices may require proof of overseas transfer. It's important to note that requirements can vary by immigration office.

To apply for the initial 90 day non-O visa in Thailand, most offices require proof that the money was transferred from overseas.

For the 1 year extension this normally is not a requirement but again it may vary from immigration office to office.
