I have a joint account with my wife (who is not applying) but with a few times the required 500,000 baht.
Problem I see is they require 3 months of bank statement and if the joint account is rejected then I have to get a new bank account and wait 3 months of bank statements in my name only.
I've emailed the Sydney embassy but no reply.
Anyone have success using a joint in Australia please?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the suitability of using a joint bank account for the DTV Soft Power visa application in Australia. They express concern that if the joint account is not accepted, they would need to wait for a new account's statements to apply. Responses from others indicate that using a joint account has worked for some at the Canberra embassy, though there are varying reports about requirements for bank statements.
I applied last week. Previous canberray embassy applicants said that proof of balance was sufficient, to which I submitted but was later required to submit a 3-month balance of the account instead.
