When you quit a job or get fired, I know the extension of stay is or can be cancelled the same day. But when on a non-b visa, sticker not a stamp, that is good until it expires correct? The job status has no bearing on this visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you quit or are fired from a job, your Non-B visa status does not change as long as your visa is valid. The job status has no bearing on the validity of the Non-B visa, meaning you can stay until the visa expires or until the conditions of your entry are met, even if you need to exit and re-enter for multi-entry visas.

correct, IF you are on an entry from a Non-B visa it doesn't cancel when you quit or get fired.

If it's a single entry Non-B you can stay as long as the stamp you're here on is valid for AND if it's a year-long multi-entry Non-B you can bounce out and in every 90 days until the visa expires
