Hello- I have a non B with a school (not a work permit), only the non B. I have resigned from the position. Do they cancel the non-B?or when I leave the country is this when the non-B is canceled. They don't really do anything, its leaving the country that cancels it, is this correct?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is concerned about the status of their Non-B visa after resigning from a position at a school. Responses indicate that the Non-B visa itself generally cannot be canceled; it remains valid until its expiry, which is tied to the entry stamp. The visa will not be specifically canceled by the school upon resignation unless there is an associated work permit. The key takeaway is that once the individual leaves Thailand, the Non-B visa will no longer be valid.

Legally, you resigned or quit or whatever. They must cancel your visa. They have to

So if you were transferring to another school, you should of aligned it to be on the same day that you register to your new school

In your previous post you said you have a work permit, something doesn't add up

Non B is a Non B.

The visa can't be cancelled, only the extension, which you don't have yet because of no work permit.

Your current expiry date is still your expiry date

Are you on the original 90 day non-B visa, or are you on an extension of stay that you applied for after the 90 day non-B visa?

I'm assuming you're still on the original 90 day non-B visa, and if that's the case there is nothing for you to do. You cannot cancel a visa, so you can stay in Thailand until the end of your entry stamp and don't need to notify immigration.

Wow can one really get a non-B visa to Thailand without a job offer from your home country or abroad?

@Ikwuakamc ********************
no. You need documentation from your employer to apply for the visa.

Yes its the original 90 day non B. Tx, that makes sense. I'll leave at the stamps end date in 10 days.
