I’m holding a visa arrival. If I overstay, does it affect me apply for Non B next time? Will they stamp anything if I overstay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Overstaying a visa on arrival in Thailand incurs a daily fine of 500 baht and results in a stamp in your passport indicating the overstay. However, as long as you meet the document requirements, an overstay does not affect your eligibility for applying for a Non-Immigrant B visa.

You can extend for 30 days if you haven’t done it already

my current stamp expires on the 31. But they are having holiday until 30. So can I go to the immigration office on July 31 and I suppose to get the extension on the same day right?

yes, go to the immigration office and apply for it. They may request proof that you're leaving the country within 7 days. But you should be able to get that 7 day application for extension denied stamp that gives you a week to leave.

I'd wait until your current stamp is almost expiring because that 7 day stamp starts from the date you apply for it. so if you apply early you lose the days on your current stamp.

NO a 15 day visa on arrival cannot get a 30 day extension, you could get a 7 day extension denied stamp for 1900baht that gives you one more week but that's it

you are confusing a free 30 day visa exempt entry; which can be extended for 30 days

AND

a 15 day visa on arrival entry that people from 21 countries BUY when they enter thailand; which CANNOT be extended for any more than 7 days.

Can Visa on arrival be extended?

You will get a 500baht a day fine per day for overstaying and you will get a stamp in your passport that says you overstayed.

At this time overstays are not a factor in getting Non-Immigrant visas if you meet the document requirements.
