TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses the potential implications of a one-day visa overstay on the applicant's ability to secure a non-immigrant B visa in Thailand. While some commenters believe a one-day overstay should not significantly affect the visa application, there are concerns regarding processing and other regional nuances, indicating that context and specific circumstances may matter.

Oh, one more thing people aren't aware of. Attempting to board a flight to Laos with an overstay stamp in your passport. That's generally a no go too.

Thanks Ron, for showing this announcement,.

Thank you for all the input. I’m sure Admin can close commenting on this question if you want to.
I have no idea how it's working. Somebody posted on here the other week that had been cleared for the visa BUT was warned by Thailand Elite that due to a previous overstay, immigration may not issue the visa when he arrived in Thailand to actually have it put in his passport.
He hasn't posted again so no idea what the result was.
really I had an overstay of two days 10 years ago and would like to apply for visa elite in the future.

Not forgetting Thailand Elite also now have the clause that you cannot apply for that visa with history of overstay.

States on the bottom. High risk of refusal if any overstay. Makes no reference to any particular visa.

Hmmm...you were specific in asking abour a one day overstay. But you say you sent your passport to employer for process. How do you know you will have only ONE day overstay?
Best wait for our experts reply. Tod Daniels ... Robert Lagas. Good luck.

They’ve told me they’re sending my passport via courier tomorrow, which is the second last day of my current visa. It will arrive on Tuesday afternoon, which won’t give me enough time to get to Maesai before the border closes, so I’ll have to go on Wednesday, one day late.

Joseph Michael Pedro III and for the record - now here on Non Imm B (BOI) and work permit. I just want to know whether overstays are actually NOW considered in Penang applications.

You mean like this one? While I've read all about them cracking down on paperwork, never an overstay in recent times - hence would like some proof.

Chris Martin proof? Ive had a visa before from Penang off a 6 day overstay.
