Hi, I am coming, again, to Thailand but thus time going directly to my wife's home. Does she need to report me to immigration? We will be in Thailand for 2 weeks, having a week in Koh Kood also. TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
When staying in Thailand, a house owner is technically required to report any foreigner staying in their residence within 24 hours of arrival using the TM30 form. While immigration authorities may not enforce this strictly, it's advisable to complete the TM30, which can be done quickly online or at a local immigration office with the necessary documents. Although some expats suggest that it's not necessary for a short stay, adherence to the law is recommended to avoid potential issues.

If you are only here for 2 weeks and also going to stay in a hotel i would not bother to do a TM30. You are not going to do any business at the immigration. But its the law. So up to you.

There is no good reason not to do the TM30. It takes only a few minutes and can be done online.

In theory the answer is yes. A house owner has to report foreigners staying within 24 hours of their arrival.

In practice if you need no interaction with immigration then no one will care if you have had one filed or not.

Thanks all, I'm only coming on a visa exemption for 2 weeks, so I'll just have the wife's address ready.

Yes, that’s my experience too. I even applied for a 30 day extension and they asked for my girlfriend’s address but not for a TM30.

That would be dependent on the office you use for the extension. Some require a TM30 filed. Some may not.
