Just a quick confirmation.

I have a DVT visa,been here for 25 days and have come to Laos for a few days.

When I return back into Thailand,I restart my 180 days again.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks confirmation on whether returning to Thailand from Laos would reset their DVT visa duration, specifically regarding a 180-day stamp. Commenters clarify that upon each entry into Thailand, a new 180-day stamp is issued, which effectively restarts the duration. One commenter also points out the distinction between DVT and DTV visa types, and the user later confirms their seamless re-entry without issues.

Just an update for those interested.

Returned from 3 days in Laos,showed my DTV visa to immigration officer.

No problem whatsoever.

Stamped in for another 180 days starting from today.

You need to inform immigration before you go or your visa is cancelled

What Tax..??

Correct. Every time you leave Thailand and return, you get 180 days stamp. Just beware of your Thai tax liability.

You get a new stamp of 180 days

from O'Reilly's men? Sorry, couldn't help it

You don't restart anything. Each entry is 180 days stamp

@Maksym **********
isn’t that what he said, only not in your exact words?
Brandon ************
@Wayne *******
no because you're not restarting anything. The first stamp ended when you left. You aren't restarting it. You're getting a completely new one.

@Brandon ***********
yes he is. He’s restarting the countdown to 180 days on the new stamp. you know his phraseology doesn’t have to be perfect for someone to know what his intentions were to say. Are you an English teacher?

@Wayne *******
terminology is critical for government processes. The wrong word means the completely wrong answer that can result in fines, jail time, deportation or even being banned from Thailand. Better to correct the terminology and make sure the correct question receives the correct answer for everyone involved. It's not pedantic, it's critical.
