Hello! I had an VOA and after that a 30 days extension, so now I could be in Thailand till 13/2. Tomorrow I'll go to Laos for 10 days and after Laos I'll go to Vietnam. But I wanted to take a sleepertrain from Nong Khai (Thailand, just across the border with Laos) to Bangkok to take a flight to Vietnam. I was wondering if I'm allowed to get back in Thailand for the sleepertrain and get again a VOA?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can return to Thailand after a trip to Laos and obtain a new entry stamp. They initially entered Thailand on a visa-exempt entry for 30 days and received a 30-day extension. Community responses clarified that the user can come back to Thailand without issues and will receive a new 30-day entry, emphasizing that their initial entry was not a Visa on Arrival (VOA) but rather a free entry stamp.

then you did arrive into Thailand as Visa Exempt Entry. And have a 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

When you reenter Thailand, again you will get a Visa Exempt Entry STAMP for a 30 day stay. Eligible for an ADDED 30 Days stay at Thai Immigration office.

If you got a 30 day extension you didn't have any VOA. You showed up here without having bought a visa and got stamped in FREE for 30 days (called a visa exempt entry) it's not a visa on arrival, it's not a visa at all, it's just a free 30 day entry stamp.

You should be able to come back in at Nong Khai no problem and get a new 30 day free entry stamp (again NOT a VOA) without any issues
