I was successful with my visa run to Cambodia and returned to Thailand. Does this "reset" my 90 day report since I left the country and reentered on a differnt visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you leave Thailand and reenter on a different visa, your 90-day reporting clock resets, starting from your new arrival date. However, if your new visa duration is less than 90 days, you won't need to worry about the 90-day reporting. The 90-day report is generally required for long-term visas or extensions, so if you switch to a longer-term visa, the reporting would resume 90 days after entering on the new visa. It's recommended to check with Thai immigration for specific situations.

Ok. So, if/when I change my visa to a longer term one, I will resume my 90 days reporting with the first report due 90 days after the day I ENTERED on my current TR. Correct? Or will the 90 day clock start ticking when I switch visa? (this will be a random time, not on the 90 days my TR runs out)

i think that you don't do them any more at all BUT how about when you go to get your 30 day extension you ASK them if you still do them ๐Ÿ™‚

It'd be due 89 days from when you stamped in IF you have to do one so it wouldn't be due when you apply for the 30 day extension ๐Ÿ˜›

Keep in mind the 90 day report, is reporting that you have been inside the country for 90 consecutive days, and generally it only applies to those on long term visas or extensions.

I think you were doing 90 day reporting ONLY because you were on covid extensions (or some other long term extension that required it)

You DO NOT do 90 day reporting entering on a new visa. You entered and got 60 days, you can extend that once for 30 days, (neither of those require 90 day reporting).

If your visa is less than 90 days, you do not need to worry about it.

Your 90 day resets once you leave Thailand. Day one starts again as you enter.

When did you do your trip to Cambodia?

...Did you get a Thai visa ?

...If so which one?

...How long were you in Cambodia?

Reason we ask is that there are many expats being denied reentry into Thailand upon arrival due to being in Thailand a long time using many extensions.

And as you asked...your 90 day clock starts from day of arrival into Thailand.

But its always best to ask your Thai immigration office.
