Does Leaving Thailand on an ED Visa Reset My 90-Day Reporting Requirement?

Hello everyone, when I got my ED visa they gave me a note in my passport to report after 90 days. Which would be next Tuesday.

However during these 90 days I left the country and re-entered on a re-entry permit. Does that mean the 90 day report has been reset?

When I re-entered Thailand the immigration officer didn't change the note with the date, so it still says next Tuesday.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day reporting requirement for an ED visa in Thailand is based on the date of entry into the country. If you leave and re-enter Thailand during the 90-day period, the reporting date resets to 90 days from your most recent entry date. Thus, you should report at immigration 90 days after your latest entry stamp.

you are correct. You got a paper put in your passport when you got your ED extension that stated when you would do your FIRST 90 day report IF you didn't leave the country at all before that date.

Seeing as you DID leave the country and came back your NEW 90 day report date is 89 days from the date you stamped in to the country. :)

Just a wild guess, but the note in your passport looked like this example and you have a big stamp in your passport with in line 2:

Extension of Stay permitted up to 18 Feb 2020?

Okay, now also reading that you just got a new

Extension of Stay permitted up to .. April 2020,

I agree with

, do the update of your address registration and count day of arrival as day 1 and on day 90 you report at Immigration that you are 90 days inside the country.

On top of what James said, can you include a screenshot of your passport/ note (with the confidential information blanked out of course).

The 90 days report is just that. It is 90 days from when you ENTER THAILAND. The first day is day #1.

so I won't have to go next Tuesday? But instead go in a month or two?
