TLDR : Answer Summary
In order to complete your TM47 (90-day report) in Thailand, you generally need to have a TM30 address registration on file with immigration, which is typically the responsibility of your landlord or hotel owner. It is advisable to request a copy of the TM30 upon check-in, as it ensures compliance and can prevent potential issues or fines related to incomplete address registration. Some immigration offices may be strict about having this documentation, influencing the process of your 90-day report.

I had it with me when I did my 90-day check. The immigration complained that the landlord hadn’t uploaded the ownership deed along the TM30 and asked me to contact them next time or I won’t be allowed to do another check-in. If you’re renting a condo, then it’s best to bring both documents with you. If you’re staying in a hotel, simply ask reception for the document. The immigration was also pretty particular about the correctness of the address on TM47.

TM30 is usually digital and not a document you would have. only some provinces go hard on this as a document.

YOU do not need to do a TM30, it is the hotel / landlord who has to do it within 24 hours.

Best if you ask for a copy of the TM30 at check-in, making it easier for everybody.

I just read this:

No, if you hold a DTV in Thailand, you do not need to do the 90-Day Report, as this requirement applies only to holders of long-term Non-Immigrant visas, such as the Non-B (Work Visa), Non-O (Retirement Visa), or Non-ED (Education Visa), among others

You should have done it within 24hours you might be fined

No, landlord or hotel should have done it.

it’s still on you when you go to immigration you should have ask the landlord, they’ll tell you the landlord is supposed to give you the fine back but in most cases it doesn’t happen

Yes. However it is your landlord (house owner, hotel etv) that is supposed to do the TM30. Ask them for a TM30 receipt.

Yes most Thai Immigration Offices are requiring a TM30 address registration on file with them whenever you go to the Thai Immigration office for any service.
