Hi just wanting some advice and help with visas please. We are travelling to Thailand for 20 days next year from New Zealand, I have a UK passport and my partner has a New Zealand passport. Do we need a visa? If so what type? My partner is also having a medical procedure, does this change anything?

TLDR : Answer Summary
As UK and New Zealand passport holders, you and your partner do not need a visa for your 20-day trip to Thailand, as both passports qualify for visa exemption, allowing for up to 30 days of stay without a visa. If your partner undergoes a medical procedure that extends their stay beyond the initial 30 days, the hospital can assist in obtaining a medical extension.

You get 30 day entries as has been mentioned above. If the medical procedures and recovery, will take longer than your visa exempt entries then the hospital can help getting a medical extension until the patient is cleared by the doctor to fly.

20 days, no visa required. You can both enter visa exempt for up to 30 days.

Both of those passports qualify for visa exempt which is a free stamp for 30 days in Thailand with nothing but your passport.
