Question about - 90 days report for tourist Visa

Hi today I went to the counter J and applied the first 60 days covid 19 extension.

I am here in Bangkok with tourist visa since April 28 so almost 90 days in Thailand.

Today I asked the immigration officer at counter J about my 90 days report and she told me that I donโ€™t need to report since I am holding Tourist Visa.

I asked her twice about it and she told that โ€œyou donโ€™t need to do the report since you are holding tourist visaโ€

Is this true ? Any recommendations?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the necessity of a 90-day reporting requirement for their tourist visa in Thailand, which they obtained back in April 2021. They were informed by an immigration officer that no such report was required for tourist visa holders. Several comments confirmed this information, detailing similar experiences at different immigration offices where officers reiterated that individuals on tourist visas do not need to report every 90 days. Nonetheless, respondents advised checking directly with the specific immigration office for confirmation, as policies may vary between locations.

Okay, we're done.

ASK the people in the 90 day report room out at MTT if you really wanna know if you should be doing a 90 day report or not.

I'm in same situation, from TR upon arrival to CoViD19 extension, never done a 90 days and immigration officers at Counter K told me No Need, as I see them every 60 days

I'm the same situation as you, I went to MTT after my first covid extension stamp, got into the line..waited until it's my turn, then the immigration officer told me I didn't need to do it because I'm on a tourist visa. Then when I got my "close stamp" for my covid extension 1 week later at division 1, I asked the officer if I needed to do 90 day report, she said no.

Bangkok- Chang Wathanna. The Immigration officer (the more senior one at the back, counter J) said to me
****
no need for me to do 90 day reports for TR 60 plus covid extensions.

Anyway we come there every 60 days and give them update on our address.

Sadly, the counter where they issue the extensions and the counter that do the 90 day reports are completely different at some of the larger immigration offices ๐Ÿ™

IMPORTANT REMINDER: each immigration office has their own 90 day report policy. Ask the 90 day report desk at the immigration office you want to use what their policy is.

I was told the same at Phuket Immigration 3 days ago.

@Rasmus *******
which is all well and good IF you're in phuket on a tourist visa but not all that worthwhile of advice IF you're in Bangkok ;)

Tourist visas don't need to report 90 days

totally NOT correct according to some immigration offices. Be careful broad brushing like that.

Unfortunately (for you and most every one else in Bangkok) the only way to really know if you need to do 90 day reporting is to slog on out to the Muang Thong Thani Immigration office location and ask the people on the second floor in Section A (the ones who actually handle the 90 day reporting).

That you're told you don't need to do it by a section that issues extensions doesn't mean you really don't need to do one, just that they aren't gonna stop you from getting extensions if you haven't
