TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for 90 days reporting under a tourist visa in Thailand remains, even when the visa is extended under COVID-19 circumstances. There are mixed opinions, but the consensus indicates that reporting every 90 days is still necessary.
I'm on a retirement and missed my 90 check in by 2 weeks

James - what are you actually talking about. You do not need to 90 day report on Covid extension. And you got ‘dinged’ what exactly? You were fined 2000 baht when you went for extension?
you are giving wrong information, fake news, I have been here for over a year with a tourist visa and covid extension, the 90 days report is NOT necessary. they should ban you from this group, you've done enough damage already
the post of Farhana is very clear:"If someone comes with tourist visa and stays longer period under covid extension, does he need to do 90 days reporting?" she did not ask for retirement, but you have confused and worried her, I had already answered in a clear and simple way
so your saying once you get a covid extension, you never have to report again till you decide to go home? Why am I getting a retirement visa, I can stay for free. Thanks
