TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether a Certificate of Entry (COE) and COVID-19 insurance are still required for travel to Bangkok on November 1st. Additionally, they inquire about the testing requirements, specifically if both RT-PCR and another type of test are necessary. Community responses indicate uncertainty about the requirements but confirm that insurance and a negative RT-PCR test are likely necessary. There are indications that quarantine rules may change for vaccinated travelers from certain countries.

I arrive on 5th November. London RTE just issued my COE, with minimum 7 nights quarantine

My AQ hotel sent me email, this morning, saying they were aware that changes to quarantine, including no quarantine for vaccinated visitors, from certain countries, and they will inform me ASAP after official announcement, if I need to quarantine or not. If I don't, they said I could cancel booking and they would refund me.

Insurance and negative test for sure. I should wait at least 1 week to book your ASQ hotel, maybe it is not necessary anymore. Although you can book it and pay a little deposit.

I can’t even imaging doing away with COE and insurance! Could be wrong.

It's RT-PCR not RT or PCR. It's a single thing.
