If you are planning on taking an certificated ATK Covid test at Suvarnabhumi airport, I would suggest to expect 1-2 hours at the testing area.
We travel tomorrow , but our hotel is not far from airport so went today for the pre departure test.
ATK tests are 550bt each and we had our negative letter 20 minutes after the swab was taken, BUT had to queue for around 1 hour, so was there 1.5 hours in total.
They just require your passport and the payment.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you plan on taking an ATK Covid test at Suvarnabhumi airport, expect to spend 1-2 hours at the testing area. The cost of an ATK test is 550 baht, and results are typically available within 20 minutes, though there's a waiting time of about 1 hour. For RT-PCR tests, they are available as well but at a higher price (around 5000 baht for results in 3 hours). The testing area is located outside near the taxi lineup. Be sure to allow adequate time for testing before your flight to avoid any last-minute issues.
We flew in to Phuket yesterday. Everything was so well organised, if you are organised and have everything in place and printed out (at least two of everything) we went through the whole process from getting of plane to pcr and connecting with our transfer in less than an hour. We got our results in less than 5 hours.
All the stress just faded when we got our results š„³

do they also do PCR tests? How long do they deliver and how much do they cost? because to enter the US you need a PCR test ... thank you
Yes but need to allocate decent amount of time in case itās busy at the test station. Some people yesterday started panicking about missing check in etc.
Yes you cannot complete the āPassenger Locatorā online form without a Day 2 PCR being booked. Iāve booked via Dam Health for a test about 5 hours after we land so donāt have to isolate at home for any longer than necessary. Ā£69 it was.
how have you organised a PCR test for when you arrive in the U.K. Iāve read that you must book your test before flying as the Airline/ U.K. Gov will request that information. This information I read on a commercial advertisement. So may not be true.
