Hello guys, I have a question, while I am in Thailand I will get a new passport. Do I have to go to immigration with both passports to have the entry stamp transferred to the new passport or can I leave the country with both passports? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
When obtaining a new passport while in Thailand, you must visit the immigration office to transfer your entry stamp from the old passport to the new one. Bring both passports and necessary documentation, such as a letter from your embassy explaining the passport change. However, if you are departing Thailand shortly after receiving the new passport, you may exit the country with both passports without needing to transfer the stamp, as the process might only be required for longer stays.

You will have to get a letter from your embassy explaining why you have a new passport. Once you have this letter then you will go to Immigration with old and new passports Thai immigration will then transfer appropriate information to your new passport.

There has to be 6 month to your old passport expire, when you enter Thailand.

And going on visa excempt up to 30 days, then you leave Thailand again on the samme passport.

But how will you as German, recieve a new passport dueing the stay in Thailand.

You need to go to an immigration office to move your stamp to the new passport.

Bring both your passports.

If Bangkok you will need a copy of both your passport's old and new every page

And a form from your embassy and the other one on the immigration website, if you are going to Bangkok immigration then you will need a copy of your full bank statements for the year, the bank statement will only apply to the retirement visa holders

I don't have a visa at all and am entering the country without a visa and will stay for 30 days. It's just a matter of the stamp of the visa-free entry and whether it has to be transferred to the new passport

If not then you will not get the new passport in 30 days as they are going to take 6 weeks before you get the new passport
