I will be transferring long stay Visa stamps to a new passport. Question about flying out because the tm 30 and the arrival card is on the old passport. What about reentry permit, that would be on the new passport. How is that handled? I assume I use both passports for exiting Thailand. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When transferring long stay visa stamps to a new passport, you should visit your local Thai Immigration office to request the transfer of stamps from your old passport to your new one. You will need to purchase a reentry permit, which will be stamped in your new passport. It's important to carry both passports when exiting Thailand, as your most recent entry stamp is in the old passport. You will also need to include the TM6 arrival card number from your old passport when filling out the reentry permit form. The TM30 is already recorded with the Thai Immigration office.
Because you have not Left Thailand... It's ONLY use is when you apply for an extension of stay or reentry permit as the applications Ask for the TM6 arrival card #.
NOW, The TM6 arrival card is NOT issued to you IF you arrive into Thailand by Air.
It's still used for Land BORDER entries.
