I am awaiting my passport renewal from UK and I have to travel next week. If I receive my new passport and dont have time to transfer data from old to new (2 year extension of stay from non b and multi 1 year re entry) would that be an issue leaving and coming back? Do i have to transfer stamps first?

ty :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling internationally after receiving a new passport while having existing visa stamps in your old passport, it is essential to carry both passports. Present the old passport that contains the relevant entry stamps when departing and also show both the old and the new passports upon arrival in Thailand. This ensures that immigration has a complete understanding of your visa status and travel history.

thanks. I will need to show both on departure too right as they stamp my new passport. The old one is invalidated once you apply for a new one and wait 13 weeks from UK for new LOL

I can assure you I applied online Thursday evening last week and got my new passport yesterday afternoon, less than a week. It wasn't clear that you were applying from Thailand, good luck.

Im in Thailand so applied here, take 13.5 weeks atm with most being 10 even in UK, so don't know how you would receive a new PP in 6 days when they say 10+

show the Thai Immigration Officer both Old and New passports leaving and re-entering Thailand. They will stamp the correct passport.

easy with the "I don't have to do it until I get back" line of thinking. IF you have time definitely GO and get the stamps moved.

You might get grief at the airport for NOT doing it seeing as you're supposed to move extensions/re-entry permits to a new passport BEFORE you exit the country. It's only people on valid multi-entry visas <- (which you are not on) that carry both passports.

if you have time to transfer the stamps before you leave... Do it.

Carry both passports with you and...

... show at departure the one that has your arrival stamp in it...

...on arrival show both Old and New passports to the Thai immigration officer.
