Good day everyone. My partner and i are just a littler bit confused what to do. He got his new passport yesterday and his old passport was already cancelled. He got laid off from his job so his work permit was cancelled last friday but wasn’t able to get the letter of cancellation from the hr officer (she was on holiday). His visa was not cancelled but we already booked a flight to the Philippines(not coming back to thailand) this wednesday oct 21. My question is, does he still need to transfer his visa to the new passport? Or can he just show his old passport? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they need to transfer their visa to a new passport after their partner's old passport was cancelled and the work permit was also cancelled due to job layoff. They have booked a one-way flight to the Philippines and do not intend to return to Thailand. According to a comment, they can simply present both the old and new passports when exiting Thailand.

If you never intend to come back here and work or get a long term visa you can just leave and stamp out (showing both passports when you exit).
