Good morning, my friend called and told me when she got back from holiday the school where she was working is not renewing her contract.
Her contract finished at the end of April.
Would I be right in thinking the school should cancel her work permit?
But she may need a termination letter to hand into the ministry of employment?
Her current Non B finishes on the 24 June, but she can stay on that till the end date, she will then leave and come back on a 30 day exempt which she can extend? She is from the Philippines
TLDR : Answer Summary
Your friend's school is required to cancel her work permit since they are not renewing her contract. She will need to obtain a termination letter from the school to present to the Ministry of Labour when she cancels her work permit. Although her Non-B visa is valid until June 24, she should not stay beyond the end of April. It’s advisable for her to visit the immigration office with paperwork from her school to cancel her extension and manage her status properly.
