Do I need to show two passports when returning to Thailand if I have a retirement visa and get a new passport in the UK?

Hi. I have two clear pages left in my uk passport. I am on a retirement visa. I fly to the uk this month for a ten week holiday. (I’ll get a reentry permit) So I’ll get a new passport whilst there.

Do I show both passports coming back as the old one has my visa stamp?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are flying back to Thailand with a new passport after holidaying in the UK, it is advisable to show both your old passport (which contains your retirement visa stamp) and your new passport upon arrival. Additionally, you should visit local immigration after your return to transfer your permission of stay to the new passport.

yes show both on arrival and then pop to your local immigration to transfer your permission of stay over, (guessing you are on an extension of stay and not a visa)
