Hello. I am on a non immigrant b visa with work permit. Every 90 days I have to report to immigration. Sometimes I go on trips and stay in hotels in other provinces and I'm worried about these new laws and confused as to if I have to report to immigration after my weekend trips to a neighbouring province? Sounds too crazy to be true? :(

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a non-immigrant B visa in Thailand, typically there is no need to report to immigration after short trips to other provinces. However, requirements can vary by immigration office, so it's advised to check with your local office for specific obligations related to the TM30 Address registration system.

And this is just another TM30 Address registration. a New law made and came into effect in 1979, just 40 years ago, I guess most of the members never heard of Thailand 40 years ago. But okay, you can read all we know in this group of topics. Good luck

inside Thailand for short trips there's no need to report.

James miller is correct, I have to report every time I leave sarakham, if not, I get fined... as advised, MUST check with thier local immi office.

then thats what you do. There are differing rules in the 79 Thai Immigration offices. The only way to know is ASK

That's what they told me....

ASK YOUR IMMIGRATION OFFICE FIRST...not all are enforcing the TM30 the same.

The only way you will know IF you must file a TM30 is to : ASK your local Thai Immigration office what are their requirements? Different offices have differing requirements. Good Luck.

BTW...what Immigration office are you using as your Thai residence address?
