TLDR : Answer Summary
When staying at your wife's house in Khorat and planning a week trip to Pattaya, the necessity to redo the TM30 registration may depend on your specific circumstances. Many responses suggest that a new TM30 is typically only required if you change your permanent address or return from abroad. However, it could be wise to check with your local immigration office since policies can vary. Some users have pointed out that you might also need to update your TM30 to complete future 90-day reports or to ensure compliance within the TM30 system.

Would it not be more simple to fly to Korea or Manila for a couple days and reset the arrival visa? You can get that up to 90 days each time, extended, plus get some different scenery.

talk to your Immigration and ask them if they REALLY want you to register again, if you come back to the same adress like before, after a holiday inside Thailand. Many Immigrations are lenient on this matter. . . .And don't forget, there is a safe way to fulfill the requirement: Have your old lady register her house in the TM30 system. Then you can use her login-name and her password for registering yourself every time you return from a trip

I've traveled all over isean and beyond, but only stay at hotels, no private residence but ours. TM 30 now pre covid. Immigration just transferred to new passport.

I've only had to do a new TM30 if I've moved permanent address or come back from abroad, even staying at hotels here for a few days I've never had to re-do a TM30. If you're only staying at your wife's house for a short while I wouldn't bother.

Regardless of the local immigration office policy about TM30, you may need updated TM30 to do next 90-day report online.

As you live in your wife's house, you should be able to do TM30 online, too, better to update.
